This new wall sculpture is inspired by one of the biggest pop icons of my childhood — Pikachu. Growing up, I spent countless afternoons after school watching Pokémon, and this piece is my way of remixing that nostalgia into art. In this video, I’ll share the story behind the artwork: Why nostalgia is so powerful in art ,The strange tension between copyright, parody, and creativity, And why I believe turning pop culture into art is both playful and critical It’s familiar, ironic, and maybe even a little risky… but that’s exactly why I love making this kind of work.
